Summer Reading Program

Get in the Game at Your Library!

Registration begins June 3rd.

Football Book The Big Kick-Off!
3-5 year olds and 6-8 year olds are invited to MTL on Tuesdays in June and July, where special storytellers will put you into the game with a good book at the weekly story hour. Begins at 10 am on June 17 & 24, and July 1, 8 & 15.

Chess Books Get in the Game!
9-12 year olds are invited to the following programs on Tuesdays at 11am:
  • June 17: Meet Izzy from the Grizzlies
  • June 24: Dance Dance Revolution Contest
  • July 1: Balloon Creator
  • July 8: Sports Crafts
  • July 15: Karate Demo
On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!
Join the reading club to receive a mini-prize for every hour you spend reading at home or at the library! Register by checking out books anytime after June 4th. All you need to check out books is a valid library card. This is a self-paced program open to everyone. If you are too young to read, you can have someone read to you. Just keep track of the amount of time you spend reading.

Team Accomplished Party!
Plan a trip to the library on July 22 10am for Chris McBrien, the Magicstoryteller. His performances are filled with fun, activities, demonstrations and explanations. Snacks and other surprises will be provided.

Parents are invited to browse or read at the library while their children have fun at story hour.
Many volunteers are needed to run the Summer Reading Program and the library is thankful for all the thoughtful people who help out each year.
